Defendant-appellant Carl Hillstrom was convicted of escape from federal custody, 18 U.S.C. § 751. Under the Sentencing Guidelines, the base offense level for escape is thirteen. See U.S.S.G. § 2P1.1(a)(2). However, under § 2P1.1(b)(3) of the Guidelines, a defendant is entitled to a four-point reduction in the base offense level portion of the grid if he or she "escaped from the non-secure...
