MEMORANDUM OPINION
MYRON H. THOMPSON, Chief Judge.
In this lawsuit, plaintiff John R. Pierce claims that the Alabama Board of Optometry's refusal to issue him an optometry license violates various rights he has under the United States Constitution — in particular, the rights conferred by the due process clause, the equal protection clause, and the privileges and immunities clause of the fourteenth amendment.
