DAUGHTREY, Justice.

In this direct appeal, we are asked to reverse defendant Danny Branam's convictions on charges of conspiracy to commit armed robbery, armed robbery, and first degree murder, and to set aside the death penalty he received for the murder conviction. At this stage, the case presents three principal issues for review: (1) whether a confession obtained surreptitiously from Branam by means of a "jail-plant" should have been suppressed...
