On August 9, 1988, plaintiff Lavern Cruise was injured during the course of his employment with Mid-State Construction Company. His injuries occurred when the company's semi-truck and trailer he was driving struck a bridge. The truck and trailer were hauling a rock screening plant for defendant Wendling Quarries, Inc. An escort vehicle driven by Calvin Paup, a Wendling employee, with a height pole provided by Mid-State attached to the vehicle's bumper...
