Defendant, Carl Williams, was charged with attempt murder, aggravated battery, aggravated battery of a child, and cruelty to children. Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of attempt murder and was sentenced to a 60-year-imprisonment term at the Illinois Department of Corrections. Defendant appeals.
