On March 28, 1988, Mrs. Marlene Hurst filed suit against Drusilla Seafood of Hammond restaurant (Drusilla), its insurer, Security Insurance Company of Hartford (Security), and Chair Products, Inc., a manufacturer of chairs, for personal injuries that Mrs. Hurst sustained while hosting a board meeting and Christmas party for her employer, Independence Housing Authority. Mrs. Hurst was injured when the arm of her chair broke and she fell to the floor...
