Larry King, an inmate of the Arkansas Department of Correction, appeals the District Court's1 order dismissing his complaint under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 alleging excessive use of force by the defendant, Captain D.E. Patterson. We affirm.

King — who had been at the Varner Unit for two-and-a-half days — registered for sick call at about 4:30 or 5:00 a.m. on March 22, 1991...
