This is an appeal from a judgment awarding a motion for directed verdict in favor of defendant. We reverse and remand for further proceedings consistent with this decision.

FACTS

On May 31, 1986 plaintiff, Calvin E. "Smokey" Goza, suffered a broken leg when he was kicked by a horse owned and ridden by defendant Gayle Cornwell.1 Mr. Goza filed suit against Ms. Cornwell, her insurer, Safeco Insurance Company...
