On October 9, 1985, plaintiffs filed this declaratory judgment action against a large number of liability insurers.1 Plaintiffs seek a declaration as to the various insurers' defense and indemnity obligations for asbestos-related claims brought against plaintiffs by present and former employees under the Federal Employers Liability Act ("FELA"), 45 U.S.C. §§ 51-60.
