This is an appeal of a summary judgment granted in favor of appellee John Hancock Variable Life Insurance Company (John Hancock). Appellant, Carmen Garcia, as beneficiary, brought suit to collect the proceeds of a life insurance policy issued to her husband, Alfredo Garcia.
