I. BACKGROUND:

On July 19, 1991, plaintiff Christopher Wey ("Wey" or "plaintiff") fell from his bicycle and injured his leg. He was transported by ambulance to Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania ("defendant" or "the hospital").
