I. Introduction

The State of Alaska petitions for hearing from the decision of the court of appeals reversing the trial court's sentence of twenty years imprisonment for defendant Donald J. McPherson.1 The State challenges the court of appeals' decision to remand the case for resentencing not to exceed fifteen years of imprisonment, including suspended time.
