This case involves construction of the sections of the Texas Family Code (the "Code") governing child support when the obligor's net monthly resources exceed $4,000. The trial court awarded $2,500 in child support to be paid out of the obligor's net monthly resources of $8,900, based on the needs of the child and the net resources of the parents.
