The defendant, Johnny Gilson, appeals from the denial of his motion to reconsider his sentence. The defendant contends that the cause must be remanded for further post-trial proceedings because defense counsel failed to file a certificate with the trial court as required by Supreme Court Rule 604(d) (Ill.Rev.Stat.1991, ch. 110A, par. 604(d)).
