A jury found defendant, Daniel Blalock, Sr., guilty of six counts of first-degree murder under section 9-1 of the Criminal Code of 1961 (Code) (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, pars. 9-1(a)(1), (a)(2), (a)(3)) and two counts of armed violence under section 33A-2 of the Code (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 33A-2). Defendant was sentenced to a term of natural-life imprisonment...
