SEXTON, Judge.

The defendant, Anthony Brown, was indicted for first degree murder concerning the November 1990 death of Shreveport attorney Carl Survine. A jury returned a responsive verdict of guilty of second degree murder, and defendant was thereafter sentenced to the mandatory term of life imprisonment at hard labor without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence.
