The district judge held that this suit brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 42 U.S.C. §§ 2000e et seq., was barred by res judicata. The defendant had discharged the plaintiff on February 28, 1990. On August 14 she filed a charge of discrimination with the EEOC and its Illinois counterpart, claiming that she had been discharged because she was white and pregnant.
