This opinion addresses the separate appeals of Christopher Driesse and Shane Welch, two youthful defendants who were convicted of conspiring with their ten adult codefendants to possess and distribute cocaine, see 21 U.S.C. § 846 (1988), as part of a New Hampshire drug distribution ring led by David Sepulveda during the period 1985-90.
