Justice KNECHT delivered the opinion of the court:

The State appeals from the Champaign County circuit court's grant of defendants' motion to suppress evidence seized during an automobile stop. It argues reasonable and articulable facts existed to justify the officer's stop of the suspect vehicle. We disagree and affirm.
