Plaintiff Jamie L. Peters, a minor child, by his next friend and mother, Sandra Peters, appeals from an adverse judgment in a medical malpractice action. Also appealing are Sandra Peters, individually, and Jamie's father, Ronald Peters, who have claims in the same action for medical expenses and loss of services, companionship, and society under rule 8 of the Iowa Rules of Civil Procedure.
