BRAY, Judge.

Edward Lee Barksdale (defendant) was convicted by a jury for possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute and possession of a firearm while in possession of cocaine. He complains on appeal (1) that the prosecutor unconstitutionally exercised peremptory challenges to remove black veniremen from the jury panel, and (2) that the jury recommended a sentence not authorized by statute.
