After a jury trial in the circuit court of Cook County, defendant, Paul Schaff, was convicted of aggravated criminal sexual assault (IIl.Rev.Stat.1985, ch. 38, par. 12-14(b)(1)), and criminal sexual assault (Ill. Rev.Stat.1985 ch. 38, par. 12-13(a)(2)), of a 7-year-old boy. He was subsequently sentenced to a 10-year term in the Illinois Department of Corrections.
