Earl and Gertrude Hamlin ("Hamlins") appeal from a judgment which denied them recovery on a $12,230.00 promissory note ("Note") executed by Jane and Michael Steward ("Stewards") and on another $8,000.00 loan ("Loan") which the Hamlins made to the Stewards.
