OPINION

WEAVER, Justice.

Rickey Lee Hughes was convicted by a jury of the offense of aggravated sexual assault of a child. See Tex.Penal Code Ann. § 22.021(a)(1)(B)(i) (Vernon 1989). The jury found the enhancement and habitual offender allegations to be true, and assessed punishment at confinement for life in the Institutional Division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
