SAUNDERS, Judge.

Defendant, Harold Ray Porter, was charged by bill of information with attempted second degree murder, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:27 and 14:30.1. In November of 1991, Porter was found incompetent to stand trial although upon review, in June of 1992, he was found competent to stand trial. After trial, in September of 1992, the jury, in an 11-1 verdict, found Porter guilty of attempted second degree murder. Porter was sentenced to 30 years at hard labor...
