Alfredo Rodriguez-Barajas entered the United States in 1971 on a tourist visa. He did not depart when the visa expired, and he did not obey the law limiting employment in the United States to those with appropriate visas. Rodriguez married a citizen of the United States in December 1971. He used this marriage to obtain a visa authorizing permanent residence, and employment, in the United States...
