James Charles appeals his convictions and sentences for two counts of forcible rape in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:42.1, and one count of attempted forcible rape in violation of LSA-R.S. 14:27/42.1. After he was found guilty as charged by a jury on September 28, 1992, he was sentenced on October 6, 1990 to serve forty years on each of the forcible rape convictions (with the first two years of each sentence to be served without benefit of parole, probation...
