This case concerns the operation of section 2-107.1 of the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities Code (Code) (Ill. Rev.Stat.1991, ch. 91½, par. 2-107.1), which provides for procedures whereby a court order may be obtained for the administration of psychotropic medication to a person for that person's benefit but against his or her will.
