Defendant, Hector Cordero, was convicted by a jury of the possession of a stolen vehicle (Ill.Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 95½, par. 4-103(a)) and resisting a peace officer (Ill. Rev.Stat.1989, ch. 38, par. 31-1). The trial court sentenced defendant to six years' imprisonment for the stolen vehicle offense.
