Defendant Bridget Denny-Shaffer appeals her conviction and sentence under 18 U.S.C. § 1201(a)(1). The indictment charged that the defendant "wilfully and knowingly did transport in interstate commerce" from New Mexico to Texas and Minnesota a child "Kevin Daniel Chavez, who has been unlawfully seized, kidnapped, carried away and held by the defendant ... for the purpose of keeping the child ... as her own." The defense of Ms. Denny-Shaffer...
