Defendant, Rex Rawlings, comes to this court on two related appeals. The first is an appeal from the district court's order revoking defendant's probation and committing him to the Utah State Prison to serve a previously imposed sentence of five years to life. The second appeal is from the district court's order in a habeas corpus petition which raised issues similar to those in the direct appeal. The two appeals were consolidated...
