Defendant was convicted, following a bench trial, of the offenses of aggravated criminal sexual assault (Ill.Rev.Stat.1985, ch. 38, par. 12-14(b)(1)) and aggravated criminal sexual abuse (Ill.Rev.Stat.1985, ch. 38, par. 12-16(c)(1)), both offenses involving one victim, D.R.
