Appellant, a corporation operated by Mr. and Mrs. Karlan, rented office space in a building located in the Buckhead area of Atlanta. The 1982 lease executed by appellant provided that the rental would be adjusted each year based upon the increase of the Consumer Price Index ("CPI").
