This appeal involves one of two cases consolidated for all purposes, including discovery and trial, pursuant to ARCP Rule 42(a). Both cases arose out of an automobile collision occurring shortly after noon on June 2, 1990, at the intersection of Main and Roosevelt Streets in Little Rock, Arkansas.
