This suit concerns plaintiff's claim for fire damages to her home which occurred while the home was being renovated by defendant, Joseph Deselle d/b/a Deselle Builders. The fire occurred on December 16, 1985. Catherine Johnson's home was insured under a homeowners policy issued by State Farm Fire and Casualty Insurance Company (State Farm).
