Robert Smith appeals from a judgment of conviction entered in the Superior Court (Kennebec County, Delahanty, C.J.) on a jury verdict finding Smith guilty of gross sexual assault. 17-A M.R.S.A. § 253(1)(A) (1983 & Supp.1991). Smith contends that the motion justice erred by not suppressing a certain statement he made to a police officer and that the trial court abused its discretion by admitting certain evidence of prior bad acts...
