608 N.E.2d 229 (1992)

240 Ill. App.3d 179

181 Ill.Dec. 156

The PEOPLE of the State of Illinois, Plaintiff-Appellee, v. John CAMPBELL and Jerry Bogan, Defendants-Appellants.

Appellate Court of Illinois, First District, Third Division.

December 16, 1992.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

Jack O'Malley, State's Atty. of Cook County, Chicago (Renee Goldfarb, William D. Carroll, Michael J. Pugh, of counsel), for plaintiff-appellee.

Rita A. Fry, Public Defender of Cook County, Chicago (R.H.R. Silvertrust, of counsel), for defendants-appellants.

Defendants Jerry Bogan and John Campbell were convicted by a jury of the robbery of Arthur Abrams and were sentenced to prison for 14 years and six years, respectively. On appeal, defendants contend that the trial court erred in finding that the State had offered sufficient race-neutral explanations for its exercise of peremptory challenges in excluding African-Americans from the jury.
