A jury found Tyrone Mozelle guilty of distribution of cocaine in violation of the District of Columbia Uniform Controlled Substances Act, D.C.Code § 33-541(a)(1) (1988 Repl.). The trial judge sentenced Mozelle to a period of incarceration of five to fifteen years, with a mandatory minimum term of twenty months.
