On August 17, 1984, defendant, Larry Scott, was indicted for murder, aggravated criminal sexual assault and attempted robbery in relation to the death of Kristin Kent, the victim. Following a jury trial in the circuit court of Cook County, defendant was found guilty of murder, guilty of attempted robbery, and guilty but mentally ill (GBMI) of aggravated criminal sexual assault...
