BOSLAUGH, Justice.

This is an action for negligent infliction of emotional distress. The case was submitted to the jury, which returned a verdict for the plaintiff, Georgine Schleich, in the amount of $30,000. The defendant, Archbishop Bergan Mercy Hospital, has appealed.
