The petitioner, Simon Ostolaza, was found guilty after a jury trial of eight counts of sexual assault in the second degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-71 (a) (1), and eight counts of risk of injury to a minor in violation of General Statutes § 53-21.1 On February 27, 1987, the trial court sentenced the petitioner to seven years imprisonment for each count, to run consecutively, for a total effective sentence...
