Ms. Alonda Acie plead guilty to three violations of the Controlled Substance, Drug, Device and Cosmetic Act.1 She was sentenced to not less than one year and no more than three years imprisonment and to pay a $5,000.00 fine. In spite of defense counsel's efforts to persuade the sentencing court that application of 18 Pa.C.S.A. § 7508(a)(3)(i) did not prevent the court from allowing Appellant to serve her sentence...
