This case is before us for the third time. Defendant was convicted in a bench trial of two counts of armed robbery, MCL 750.529; MSA 28.797, and of possessing a firearm during the commission of a felony, MCL 750.227b; MSA 28.424(2). Our first opinion reversed defendant's convictions because of a lack of a record showing that defendant waived his right to a jury trial in open court. People v James, unpublished opinion
