Defendant-appellant Monte Steelman was convicted of dealing in marijuana within 1,000 feet of school property, a Class C felony,1 and was adjudicated an habitual offender. The court sentenced him to the presumptive term of four years' imprisonment for the dealing in marijuana conviction, and enhanced the sentence by the minimum term of 20 years' imprisonment for the habitual offender adjudication.
