Defendant Melvin Metzler appeals his convictions of second-degree murder, MCL 750.317; MSA 28.549, and possession with intent to distribute less than fifty grams of a mixture containing cocaine, MCL 333.7401(2)(a)(iv); MSA 14.15(7401)(2)(a)(iv). The convictions were entered after separate jury trials. Defendant was sentenced to twenty to forty years' imprisonment for the murder conviction and to a concurrent sentence of seven to twenty years' imprisonment...
