This appeal concerns several issues arising out of the criminal trial of the defendant, Thomas E. Marra, Jr. The state charged the defendant with the crime of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a (a)1 in connection with the death of Alex Palmieri on February 6, 1984.
