At the conclusion of his jury trial, the defendant, Darrin D. Gilmer, was found guilty as charged of armed robbery and aggravated burglary. On the armed robbery conviction, the defendant was sentenced to serve 50 years at hard labor, without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of sentence. For aggravated burglary, he received a sentence of 25 years at hard labor, with one year to be served without benefit of parole, probation or suspension of...
