In 1990, Belmondo Copeland received a suspended sentence for possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and conspiracy. On May 14, 1991, he was tried on another charge of conspiracy to distribute cocaine. On July 11, 1991, the trial court granted Copeland's motion to strike the Commonwealth's evidence, and he was found not guilty of the 1991 charge.
