During 1981 and 1982, Sara Meadows, John Alexander Meadows, and Sue Meadows (the "Meadows") subdivided the land they had inherited in Craven County into a residential subdivision known as Bellefern Subdivision. Sara Meadows engaged an independent engineer and surveyor, Darrel Daniels, to lay out and map the development, and an independent general contractor, Clement and Johnson, to grade and pave the roads...
