ANDREASEN, Justice.

Petitioner filed a petition to reopen an estate. The district court found the petitioner's claim was barred by Iowa Code section 633.487 (1989) and that no proper cause for reopening the estate had been established. Petitioner appeals from the court's denial of the petition. We reverse and remand.
